Planet Labs Awarded German Government Satellite Services Tender

04:40 PM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Planet Labs PBC's (PL) Planet Labs Germany said Tuesday it was awarded a satellite services tender by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior. The agreement provides German civil government authorities with exclusive access to dedicated satellite tasking capabilities and a European-hosted data platform for Earth observation. Planet Labs said it will also provide cloud-based software and platform services hosted on European cloud infrastructure. The tender award includes options and has a maximum possible value of 25 million euros ($28.8 million) over five years, the company said.
