Flex appointed Amy Schwetz as its new chief financial officer as part of a top-level management-transition plan ahead of the company's spinoff of its artificial-intelligence data-center unit.
Schwetz is set to join the company Oct. 5 as CFO of its regulated-manufacturing-services and integrated-technology-services segments, Flex said. She is then expected to serve as Flex CFO after the company separates its cloud and power-infrastructure segment into a separate public company named Axiom Solutions International.
The company is on track to spin off the unit in the first quarter of 2027, it said.
Schwetz brings with her more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience, most recently as CFO of Flowserve--which announced her departure Monday--and as CFO of Peabody Energy before that. At Peabody, she held finance roles of increasing responsibility over 14 years, Flex said.
Under the plan, after the spinoff the current Flex chief executive, Revathi Advaithi, will transition to lead Axiom, while Flex Chief Commercial Officer Michael Hartung will become Flex CEO.
