(1) According to an analysis by Clarksons Research, the research division of shipbroking company Clarksons, currently about 8 million barrels of oil pass through the Strait of Hormuz each day, bringing the total daily crude oil outflow from the Middle East to approximately 13.5 million barrels. (2) In the report, Clarksons Research Managing Director Steve Gordon noted that Middle East crude oil deliveries include 2.5 million barrels per day from the Fujairah/Oman pipeline, as well as about 3 million barrels per day from the Yanbu pipeline. (3) Before the war, about 15 million barrels of crude oil were transported daily through the Strait of Hormuz, while the outflow of Middle East crude oil was 18 million barrels per day. (4) Gordon stated: "Despite significant disruptions, with the logistical flexibility provided by the shipping market, the energy market continues to show resilience in delivering oil to the market." (5) Additional exports from other producers such as Brazil, which have grown by around 750 thousand barrels per day, have also added to global supply.
