Hornbeck Offshore Secures Multi-Year North Sea Decommissioning Contract

05:24 PM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS) said Monday its subsidiary Helix Well Ops received a multi-year decommissioning contract from a major operator in the North Sea, with work expected to begin in Q2 of 2027. The contract has a firm two-year duration, with customer options to extend, the company said. The financial terms were not disclosed. Hornbeck Offshore will perform riserless plug and abandonment operations using the Well Enhancer or Seawell vessels, according to a statement.
