Market Chatter: Kioxia Considers $10 Billion-Plus US Listing

MT newswireMT newswire2026/09/14 12:11
08:11 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kioxia is considering raising at least $10 billion through a US listing of American depositary receipts, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. The report said the Tokyo-based memory-chip maker has held talks with Bank of America (BAC), Goldman Sachs (GS) and JPMorgan Chase (JPM) about a potential offering next year. Kioxia is seeking greater access to US investors after buying back billions of dollars worth of shares in Japan, according to the report. A US listing could also allow the company to qualify for inclusion in a semiconductor-focused stock index, according to Bloomberg. Kioxia has already said it plans to offer ADRs in spring 2027, but the plans are preliminary, and the size of the offering and banks involved could change, the people told Bloomberg. Kioxia, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan didn't respond to a request seeking comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
