Oracle's F1Q Print Boosts Confidence in Data-Center Buildout -- Market Talk

1011 ET - Oracle's F1Q report should help build confidence that its data-center buildout is going as planned and will be converted into revenue, JPMorgan says in a note. The company told investors that its incremental $30 billion of AI contracts probably won't demand more cash outlays beyond its prior guidance for $40 billion of capital in the current fiscal year, according to the analysts. The company also forecast that around half of its $664 billion in remaining performance obligations will convert to revenue in the next three years, and appears to have made progress on diversifying its data-center buildout, reducing the risk from any single project being delayed, the analysts say. Investors may still question whether Oracle's cash outlay will moderate significantly after FY28, particularly with the robust industry demand backdrop, the analysts add. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
