This collaboration will enhance Rackspace's ability to provide and manage Nvidia Blackwell AI computing for regulated enterprises and sovereign entities.

According to Zhitong Finance APP, Rackspace Technology (RXT.US) announced its entry into the AI Cloud Partner Program led by "AI chip giant" Nvidia (NVDA.US). Following this announcement, the company's stock surged over 14% in U.S. premarket trading on Thursday. The core of this partnership lies in integrating Nvidia Blackwell AI accelerated computing infrastructure, Palantir's enterprise data and AI super platform, and Rackspace's infrastructure and ongoing operations ecosystem. This aims to serve enterprises that prioritize data sovereignty, governance, and rapid availability of computing systems. For Rackspace, this provides a new portfolio to expand existing cloud service customers into enterprise AI clients. The announcement has yet to disclose any additional order amounts or revenue contributions; the current positive lies mainly in enhanced business expansion capabilities and a reinforced transition of its cloud business toward positioning as an AI cloud service provider.

Rackspace Technology is not positioned as a NeoCloud player like CoreWeave, but rather as a long-established multi-cloud and managed services provider focused on enterprise AI transformation. Its business covers consulting, migration, deployment, management, and cost optimization for private, public, and hybrid clouds, as well as dedicated hosting, data center managed services, and ongoing engineering support. It also supports hyperscale cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

There is some overlap between Rackspace and NeoCloud players in AI infrastructure and managed operations. However, Rackspace's main entry point is the integration, governance, and ongoing operation of existing IT environments for enterprises, rather than focusing on selling or long-term leasing of AI computing resources through massive Nvidia AI GPU clusters as NeoCloud providers do.

From an engineering perspective, after an enterprise purchases GPUs, it must also address issues such as data integration, model deployment, access control, network and storage configuration, disaster recovery, and service quality management. Rackspace’s launch of its institutional-level sovereign computing unit combines Blackwell with Palantir Foundry and AIP, with the engineering team responsible for integration and ongoing operations. This is aimed at shortening the journey from AI deployment to actual business use. The value of Rackspace's collaboration with Nvidia and Palantir in creating "sovereign AI" also lies in whether customers can control data location, access rights, model runtime environments, and operational responsibilities. Such capabilities are especially important for finance, healthcare, and other regulated industries, providing a strong foundation for Rackspace to secure long-term AI computing resource operation service revenue and contracts.

This partnership will enhance Rackspace’s ability to provide and manage AI computing services based on Nvidia AI GPU cluster infrastructure for regulated enterprises and those with specific sovereign AI requirements.

Rackspace Technology CEO Amar Maletira stated, “AI sovereignty ultimately comes down to control: control over data, models, and the intelligent outcomes an organization creates. Nvidia provides the accelerated computing foundation, while Rackspace delivers the infrastructure, engineering, and operational services needed to run it in production environments. For organizations with uncompromising requirements for governance, sovereignty, and system availability, our job is to keep the entire system running and remain accountable for the results.”

Rackspace said its new Institutional Sovereign Pod is an AI infrastructure architecture with governance mechanisms. It will integrate Nvidia Blackwell technology with Palantir’s (PLTR.US) exclusive Foundry AI super platform and AIP application platform, enabling enterprises to control their own data, models, and AI environments.

Rackspace can provide pre-deployment engineering services and managed operation and maintenance for this environment, helping clients move from deployment to production faster and realize value sooner.

The Blackwell AI solution relies 100% on Nvidia GPUs and supporting technologies for supply and delivery, but Rackspace’s overall business is not solely based on procuring Nvidia GPUs and renting out computing power. The company previously announced a partnership with AMD, planning to integrate Instinct GPUs, EPYC CPUs, and the ROCm software ecosystem, and configure computing resources according to workloads. Clients can purchase a complete service package that includes dedicated computing power, platform integration, and ongoing operations. This announcement does not define the cooperation as a simple GPU hourly rental nor does it disclose guaranteed GPU supply quotas. From an investment perspective, the key lies in whether the new solution can generate sustainable contract revenue and yield reasonable profits after investment in hardware, software licensing, and engineering.

With the US midterm elections approaching, Wall Street bets on a divided Congress—will markets see a mild respite?

As the U.S. midterm elections approach, Wall Street is generally betting on a "divided Congress" scenario, with the Democratic Party taking back the House of Representatives and the Republican Party retaining the Senate. This is expected to limit radical policies and reduce uncertainty. Historical data shows that since 1950, when a divided Congress occurred under a Republican president, the average annual gain of U.S. stocks was 13.7%, higher than the 8.3% and 4.9% gains when either the Republican or Democratic Party controlled Congress alone. If the election results deviate from expectations, the market may still experience significant volatility.

In the era of AI inference, demand for "optical interconnects" is booming! Lumentum (LITE.US), "standing in the light," is ahead of NPO, expanding OCS to embrace the moment of profit surge

From an underlying engineering perspective, the growing demand for optical interconnection arises from more frequent and stricter data exchanges between computing nodes: expert parallelism in Mixture of Experts (MoE) models requires distributing and aggregating data across GPUs; Prefill–Decode Disaggregation necessitates the transfer of KV Cache; complex agent workflows increase the concurrency of model invocation, tool execution, and data access.

Federal Reserve rate hike rationale further reinforced! US August PPI sees biggest increase in three months, energy as main driver; tomorrow's CPI may determine the outcome

Driven by the rebound in energy product prices, the U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) for August accelerated further, continuing a series of elevated readings since renewed hostilities between the U.S. and Iran. This may further strengthen the case for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates at next week's meeting.
