Mastercard Launches Wallet Pay Tools to Facilitate Payments Between Wallets

05:53 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mastercard (MA) has launched Mastercard Wallet Pay, a portfolio of payment tools meant to improve interoperability for digital wallets in contactless, QR code, and online payments, the company said Wednesday. Mastercard Wallet Pay will allow wallet providers to facilitate payments with less friction including in cross-border transfers, the company said. Partners in collaboration include Asian payments wallet provider Alipay+, which supports AlipayHK, Clip, GCash, KakaoPay, TNG eWallet, and TrueMoney, the company said.
