Adds new items, updates futures

- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.05%.

* CURRYS: Currys CURY.L reported a 7% rise in like-for-like sales for the 17 weeks to August 29, helped by robust demand for cooling products during a summer heatwave and growth in its Nordics business.

* ABF: Associated British Foods ABF.L said its Primark clothing business, which it plans to spin off next year, will offer home delivery in the UK in the future.

* IG GROUP: Britain's IG Group IGG.L has told staff that a significant number of jobs would be cut as part of a reorganisation aimed at improving efficiency, Sky News reported.

* JOHN LEWIS: John Lewis Partnership said its first-half loss deepened and it warned it was cautious on the current period, as an uncertain economic and geopolitical landscape weighs on customers.

* HOUSING: A slowdown in Britain's housing market appears to be levelling off as measures of buyer demand and agreed sales moved away from recent lows, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said.

* OIL: Oil prices dipped but Brent crude remained above $100 a barrel as traders braced for deeper supply disruptions after Iran and the United States launched their largest attacks on shipping since their six-month-old conflict began.

* GOLD: Gold inched higher, helped by a softer dollar, while market participants awaited key U.S. inflation data that could shape the Federal Reserve's interest-rate path.

* METALS: Copper hovered near record levels, with scarce deliverable metal in markets outside the United States continuing to underpin prices.

* EX-DIVS: Prudential PRU.L, M&G MNG.L, and Lion Finance BGEO.L will trade without entitlement to their latest dividend pay-outs on Thursday.
