09:37 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com (AMZN) will raise 4.25 billion British pounds ($5.76 billion) in its first sterling bond sale, which is more than expected, media outlets reported Wednesday. The tech giant will raise 1.25 billion pounds from three-year bonds, and 1 billion pounds each from six-, 12-, and 19-year bonds, Reuters reported, citing a memo from a bank managing the sale. Amazon has already raised bonds in euros, Swiss francs, and Canadian dollars, according to reports. Amazon didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
