Stocks to Watch Thursday Recap: Snowflake, Broadcom, HPE, Ultragenyx -- WSJ

Snowflake (SNOW): The cloud-storage company reported a narrower quarterly loss, saying AI drove its business. Its stock surged nearly 17%

Broadcom (AVGO): The company was bullish about demand for its custom chips over the next two years; shares slipped 2.7%.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE): The company's results beat analyst expectations, helped by AI demand. It also lifted its long-term goals. Shares closed up 5% after falling earlier in the session.

Impala Platinum (ZA:IMP): Higher precious-metal prices gave the South African miner's earnings a boost; its shares climbed 9%.

Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical (RARE): The pharma company said a drug in its pipeline failed to meet its primary endpoint in a late-stage trial; its stock plunged 44%.

Victoria's Secret (VSXY): Shares of the bra retailer closed 13% lower. The company boosted its full-year outlook but reported second-quarter sales below Wall Street estimates.

Campbell's (CPB): The soup maker fell 7% after it reported declining sales and slashed its quarterly dividend.
