Digital Asset Investor, a prominent commentator known for his coverage of cryptocurrency markets, has suggested that XRP could see a dramatic increase in daily price swings following the potential passage of the CLARITY Act in the United States.
Digital Asset Investor predicts major XRP volatility after CLARITY Act backed by Trump
Investor sees major price swings ahead
In a recent video shared on X, Digital Asset Investor described current trading in XRP as “pre-clarity price action.” He argued that XRP has yet to experience the heightened volatility that may accompany new regulations, particularly if the CLARITY Act becomes law.
He referenced comments from BankXRP, another well-followed market analyst, who said the current XRP environment remains in a waiting period before new regulatory clarity emerges. Digital Asset Investor agreed, stressing that major shifts may follow any breakthrough in legislation.
According to Digital Asset Investor, a dramatic increase in volatility could be on the horizon. He stated that, once regulatory clarity arrives, “alt volatility flips from nice green day to double-digit daily swings.”
Digital Asset Investor pointed out that, in his view, there may come a time when XRP records daily moves of $1 or even $5 as a result of increased volatility tied to regulatory changes.
He did not set a specific timeline or target price for XRP. Instead, his thesis centered on the likelihood that increased legal certainty from the CLARITY Act would bring much greater price movement to the altcoin market.
Trump calls for progress on the CLARITY Act
The renewed speculation follows US President Donald Trump’s call for Congress to pass the CLARITY Act during an August 19 event at the White House attended by major figures in both the cryptocurrency and traditional financial sectors. Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, was among the executives present. Trump called for a “fair version” of the bill, seeking to establish clearer rules for digital assets and resolve uncertainty regarding the classification of tokens as securities or commodities.
The CLARITY Act aims to provide legal guidelines for digital assets in the United States. The bill, which has faced delays in the Senate, remains a priority for many in the industry, and additional efforts to advance it are anticipated in September.
During the White House meeting, reports stated that Trump listened to feedback from industry executives and appeared optimistic about the bill’s prospects.
Digital Asset Investor believes these developments could mark a turning point for XRP volatility if the legislative process moves forward.
He concluded his remarks by vowing to stay active in covering the market should the predicted volatility materialize: “I’ll be here for that day. I’ll be locked in.”
