Analyst: Every XRP Bull Run Started from This Launchpad
XRP has followed a recognizable cycle across multiple market periods. Crypto analyst Thea Grace X has published a chart analysis identifying that cycle and applying it to current price action.
The pattern is consistent. XRP surges to a peak, pulls back, then produces a sharp but temporary rally forming a bull trap, before declining further to a defined support level. She calls that support level the “launchpad.”
The chart covers price history from 2017 to a projected 2028 outlook. Each major cycle recorded a significant peak. The 2018 peak reached a 16x gain. The 2021 peak reached 10x. The most recent cycle topped at 8x. In each case, the decline that followed included a sharp counter rally before the actual bottom formed.
The Bull Trap Signal
Grace identifies those counter-rallies as bull traps. The 2018 bull trap retraced 103.78%. The 2021 cycle produced a 176.42% retracement. The current cycle has already produced a 72.79% retracement.
XRP recently surged more than 50% in 65 hours, with a total move exceeding 70%. Grace sees that move as consistent with prior bull trap behavior. Her analysis states XRP “is still in that phase” and adds, “We’re not at the launchpad yet.”
The Case for a Deeper Low
The launchpad level in her analysis sits near $0.50. XRP has not traded at that price since before its 500% surge in late 2024. Reaching that level would require a significant decline from current prices.
The structure Grace identifies suggests the decline has not completed. Each prior cycle required a full retracement to the launchpad zone before a sustained breakout occurred. The green highlighted zones on her chart mark those accumulation regions. They appear at the base of each cycle before the next major advance.
Her analysis positions the current price action as a transitional phase. The bull trap rally looks convincing, but historical structure suggests it resolves lower before any durable recovery takes hold.
The Opportunity in the Decline
A drop to the $0.50 launchpad, if it occurs, would also represent a significant buying opportunity. Other analysts have projected a decline for XRP, but the most extreme only go as deep as $0.65. A decline to $0.50 would shake out many weak hands, but also provide a major opportunity.
Each prior launchpad formation preceded the largest gains in XRP’s price history. The 2018 launchpad preceded a 10x advance. The 2020 launchpad preceded the 2021 peak. Grace projects a potential new all-time high following the next launchpad formation.
