The developer of Postquant Labs’ quantum computing protocol, quip.network, has officially launched QuipSwap, a bridge-free swap protocol designed to eliminate cross-chain security vulnerabilities and address crypto risks posed by the evolution of quantum computing. 

This protocol represents the industry's first mechanism for trustless cross-chain transactions without relying on bridges, oracles, or wrapped assets—components that historically have been major attack vectors resulting in billions of dollars in losses.

Traditional cross-chain solutions rely on centralized intermediaries or smart contract bridges to move assets between isolated blockchains, introducing ongoing custodial and manipulation risks. QuipSwap takes a different approach, using a peer-to-peer architecture where counterparties reach swap agreements and seamlessly exchange wallet access rights across chains via a synchronized, trustless process. 

"If one party claims the trade, the other will immediately receive the claim key—there’s no turning back. You can transact on any chain just as you would a P2P swap. There are no intermediaries holding your funds, no oracles that can be manipulated, no bridges that can be attacked, and no endless waiting for quantum-proof upgrades," explained Colton Dillon, CEO and co-founder of Postquant Labs, in a written statement. "This is a huge win for all non-malicious users and eliminates several potential quantum threats. Users can keep their favorite assets and strategies on their preferred chains and still participate in the Quip ecosystem, with complete access to our quantum computer network no matter where funds are held," he added.

Quantum Resistance and Technical Verification

The timing of this launch reflects the increasing urgency of quantum security protection. As quantum hardware matures, the cryptographic primitives used by current blockchains face potential security threats. Postquant Labs believes that isolated chain upgrades are not enough, since transaction security is dictated by the weakest link; to guarantee end-to-end safety, every layer in the stack must be quantum-resistant. With no mainstream blockchain currently supporting native quantum computing or any bridge or exchange handling quantum-secure transactions, the team built proprietary infrastructure to fill this gap. 

Richard Kabak, PhD, CTO and co-founder of Postquant Labs, stated in a written release: "You can’t run a distributed computing network where your own miners can crack your cryptography. No blockchain currently supports quantum computing, so we must build our own blockchain. No bridge or exchange supports quantum-resistant transactions yet either, so we have to fill this gap. Our bridge-free peer-to-peer protocol completely eliminates this problem by removing the intermediary layers that would otherwise require upgrades. This is the only path to a truly secure, universally accessible quantum network." 

Following a successful live claim demonstration at ETHDenver in February, the team completed the core codebase and conducted extensive testing of the protocol, with Oak Security also performing a formal security audit. 

Meanwhile, quip.network has launched quantum-resistant wallets for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana (currently in testing), aimed at strengthening blockchain infrastructure against anticipated quantum threats. All underlying research for this network remains open source, with the goal of establishing a universal quantum computing standard for the industry to ensure long-term robustness across heterogeneous blockchain environments.
