AWS, NVIDIA to Deploy 2 Million Additional GPUs Across AWS Infrastructure

05:43 PM EDT, 08/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AWS and Nvidia (NVDA) said Wednesday they plan to deploy 2 million additional NVIDIA GPUs across AWS's global infrastructure in 2027-2028, as the companies expand their collaboration to meet growing demand for agentic and physical AI. The companies also plan to bring NVIDIA Vera CPU-based infrastructure to AWS and extend NVIDIA NVLink Fusion with custom NVIDIA high-bandwidth memory (NVHBM), enabling greater integration between NVIDIA GPUs and AWS's Trainium chips. AWS and NVIDIA also plan to build AI factories for the U.S. government, including plans to deliver 100,000 GPUs on secure AWS infrastructure for federal and national-security workloads. The companies are also expanding their work in networking, open models, data processing and robotics.
