W.W. Grainger Acquires Technology Assets for $210 Million From Adroit Worldwide Media

Grainger (GWW) said late Wednesday it has acquired technology, intellectual property and talent assets from Adroit Worldwide Media for $210 million in cash. The acquisition is expected to strengthen its inventory management capabilities within its High-Touch Solutions North America segment by adding differentiated frictionless technology for industrial business-to-business distribution, the company said. The company said it will start the integration immediately and launch a commercial pilot of this new capability over the coming months. The acquisition is not expected to contribute materially to near-term results.
