Bitget CEO Says AI Trading Is Moving From Analysis to Automated Execution

Artificial intelligence (AI) in global crypto markets is shifting beyond passive analysis toward automated execution. Bitget Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gracy Chen says advanced systems such as Bitget’s AI Smart Grid can independently select instruments, modify technical parameters as market conditions change, and execute trades without manual intervention.

AI can automatically adjust crypto trading strategies when market conditions change because modern AI trading systems have moved past static rule-based bots.

For instance, a trading strategy may be programmed to filter market-wide asset matches to the trader’s preferred regime, with the system automatically generating key settings, based on the trader’s preferred style and live data. If the circumstances change, it can move coins in and out of the asset basket instead of just being locked to a poor performing asset.

Bitget CEO has emphasized this industry shift, noting that AI tools are advancing from static analytics to complete workflow automation. Modern systems allow traders to set top-level risk preferences, and underlying algorithms trade trading pairs, rebalancing asset distributions, and executing order flows in real time.

By removing manual latency, automated execution reduces the need for round-the-clock chart monitoring while maintaining strategic discipline across 24/7 volatile crypto markets.

Letting AI select trading parameters and execute trades introduces parameter, model, execution, market, transparency, and operational risks. AI-generated settings may lead to losses if there is a shift in volatility, correlations, or liquidity, and leverage can exacerbate drawdowns.

AI eliminates the need for manual coin selection, parameter calculation, monitoring, and rotation, making it particularly beneficial for experienced users of the grid bot. Intuitive grid methods and reduced screen time are beneficial for beginners but come with increased set and forget risks, so sufficient capital, clear risk limits and education is required.

The automated multi coin rotation can be beneficial to portfolio oriented traders, but for discretionary day traders, it can be less effective since it typically targets mean reversion or volatility capture, not necessarily trend.

Crypto traders should opt for AI execution with manual oversight, not for fully automated trading. In 2026, surveys and industry analysis show that many traders are comfortable giving AI substantial authority to execute trades while maintaining their ability to quickly adjust their limits and revoke access.

The systems that are trusted are those that can be observed, and are interruptible, not opaque and irreversible.

Therefore, the practical approach is applying a hybrid model, where the trader establishes guardrails, and AI selects, adapts, monitors and executes within these guardrails. Models can break down during regime changes and historical parameters can mismatch during black swan events.
