- Precinct location set at the Australian Marine Complex Common User Facility, supporting a long-term naval shipbuilding and sustainment hub in Western Australia.
- Richard Marles, Australia’s deputy prime minister and defence minister, attended with Senator Ellie Whittaker on Aug. 24, 2026.
- Landing Craft Medium and Heavy programs due to start construction soon at Henderson, underpinning a continuous shipbuilding pipeline.
- Medium program covers 18 Austal-designed vessels; Heavy program covers eight 100-meter vessels based on Damen’s LST100 design.
