NCino Shares Fall On Soft 3Q Outlook

Shares of nCino were down in after-hours trading despite the company swinging to a second-quarter profit, as its guidance for the current quarter disappointed some analysts.

The stock was down 3.8% at $20.03 in after-hours trading on Tuesday. Shares closed down 0.7% at $20.81, down 19% this year.

The financial technology company on Tuesday guided for third-quarter revenue between $161.25 million and $163.25 million.

The midpoint of that range, $162.25 million, fell below Wall Street expectations for $162.6 million in third-quarter revenue, according to FactSet.

The company reported a second-quarter profit of $5.1 million, or 5 cents a share, compared with a loss of $15.3 million, or 13 cents a share, a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expected a reported profit of 3 cents a share.

Revenue rose to $161 million from $148.8 million, beating analyst expectations of $159.1 million.

Subscription revenue, which makes up most of the company's topline, rose to $143.5 million from $130.8 million.

The company lifted its full-year guidance, projecting revenue between $644 million and $647 million, up from a previous range of $642 million to $646 million.

Analysts are expecting full-year revenue of $644.7 million.

The company also said its board authorized an additional $100 million share repurchase program.
