Sector Update: Healthcare Stocks Edge Higher Premarket Tuesday

09:15 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks were edging higher premarket Tuesday, with the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) slightly advancing and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) up 0.2%. Immatics (IMTX) shares were up more than 13% after the company said it has agreed to sell about 12.9 million ordinary shares at $8.69 each, and in lieu of ordinary shares to certain investors, pre-funded warrants to buy up to approximately 4.3 million ordinary shares at $8.689 per pre-funded warrant. Veeva Systems (VEEV) has signed Biogen (BIIB) and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN) as new users for its Veeva Vault CRM platform, according to statements from Veeva. Shares of Veeva Systems were down 0.1% premarket. Bausch + Lomb (BLCO) stock was up more than 1% after the company said it plans to advance two of its pharmaceutical pipeline assets to new trials based on latest clinical results.
