Alibaba shares in the US turned positive after Joe Tsai and Eddie Wu increased their holdings by 120 million Hong Kong dollars in Alibaba stock.

The European STOXX 600 index provisionally closed down 0.02% at 654.04 points. The Eurozone STOXX 50 index provisionally closed down 0.27% at 6,444.77 points. The FTSEurofirst 300 index provisionally closed down 0.01% at 2,614.42 points.

Spot platinum has just surpassed the $1,880.00/ounce level, now quoted at $1,879.38/ounce, down 0.03% on the day; the main Nymex platinum futures contract is now quoted at $1,895.2/ounce, down 0.03% on the day.
