(1) On Monday, the euro remained stable against the Venezuelan bolívar at 916 bolívars, unchanged from the previous trading day, with no significant fluctuations. (2) Based on the current official exchange rate, 100 euros can be converted to approximately 91,600 bolívars, while 1,000 euros can be converted to about 916,000 bolívars, with the exchange rate maintaining its recent high levels. (3) Looking back from the beginning of the year to now, the euro has appreciated around 158% in the Venezuelan market, rising from 355 bolívars to 916 bolívars, marking a significant increase. (4) As one of the world’s major reserve currencies, the euro’s exchange rate movements are closely watched in this region. Although it is not directly involved in most households’ daily transactions, it broadly impacts cross-border travel, savings allocation, foreign trade settlement, overseas procurement, and international remittances. (5) During actual exchanges, euro prices vary depending on market references—including bank posted rates, exchange bureau quotes, informal channel transaction prices, and digital payment scenario reference rates—so investors should be mindful to distinguish between them. (6) Despite the US dollar attracting more attention in the region, the euro's status as a global benchmark currency remains steady. Its fluctuations not only reflect the value relationship with the local currency, but also highlight the transmission effect of international capital flows on Latin American economies. (7) Trump's tariff comments have fueled additional concerns about emerging market exchange rate pressure. Coupled with the euro's ongoing strength since the beginning of the year, it is important to closely monitor adjustments in Venezuela's official exchange rate policies and changes in international foreign exchange market sentiment for further impacts on the euro-bolívar cross pair.
