(1) As of July 1, 2026, the total amount of Russian private financial assets frozen by Switzerland reached 850 million Swiss francs, an increase of approximately 110 million Swiss francs compared with 740 million Swiss francs a year earlier. (2) A SECO spokesperson stated that the increase was driven by multiple factors, including newly discovered and frozen assets, fluctuations in the value of already frozen assets, and a sharp rise in gold prices, the latter having a significant impact on the overall asset valuation. (3) In addition to financial assets, Switzerland also froze 14 real estate properties, sports cars and luxury vehicles, airplanes, artworks, furniture, and musical instruments, all belonging to sanctioned individuals, legal entities, and organizations.
