Thailand’s Finance Minister stated on Monday that the government will discuss proposed tax measures with the Gold Association this week. Finance Minister Ekhniti Nitithanprapas said Thailand will consider taxing gold trading and imports, adding that the move aims to curb illegal capital flows and that there is no intent to levy excessively high gold taxes.
