JFE Steel, partners sign JOGMEC contract for CCS hub design work at Mizushima complex

- Scope covers CO2 separation, capture, liquefaction, temporary storage, shipping facilities for the Mizushima industrial area in Okayama Prefecture.
- Project targets shared liquefaction, storage, shipping infrastructure to cut CCS costs across the industrial cluster.
- Planned shipping volume estimated at 3,430,000 tons of liquefied CO2 per year at start-up, positioned as Japan’s largest cluster under development.
