Vice Governor of the Bank of Korea: The Korean won exchange rate will fundamentally trend downward

Spot platinum has just surpassed the $1,870.00/oz mark, now at $1,870.07/oz, up 2.00% on the day; Nymex platinum futures main contract is now at $1,880.1/oz, up 2.23% on the day.

Samsung Electronics' South Korean shares surged over 3%, while Southern Double Leverage Samsung Electronics rose nearly 7%. According to reports, Samsung Electronics' board of directors is expected to announce a major shareholder return plan today, with plans to return up to $79 billion to shareholders. SK Hynix's South Korean shares jumped over 4%, and Southern Maximum Double Leverage Hynix rose more than 8%.
