Economists at Morgan Stanley stated in a report that the proportion of job displacement caused by AI in the United States is still relatively small, but the trend is becoming increasingly apparent. By June 2026, the impact of AI-related replacement on the U.S. unemployment rate could reach up to about 15 basis points, higher than the 10 basis points projected for December 2025. Signs of replacement remain most evident among younger workers.
