(1) Italy's current account surplus in June was 5.839 billion euros, narrowing from 6.639 billion euros in the same period last year, with surpluses in goods, services, and primary income all decreasing. (2) The goods surplus declined from 5.626 billion euros to 4.852 billion euros, the services surplus edged down from 1.558 billion euros to 1.539 billion euros, and the primary income surplus decreased from 761 million euros to 736 million euros; the secondary income deficit narrowed slightly from 1.305 billion euros to 1.289 billion euros.
