Elon Musk XRP Theory Revealed
Digital Asset Investor has long claimed credit for one of the more persistent theories in the XRP community.
At the time, he says, “people thought I was crazy.” Now, a separate voice is making nearly the same case in far more detail.
The Timeline That Raises Questions
The argument begins in 1999. Musk founded X.com, an early digital payments company that sent what the speaker describes as “the first instantaneous digital currency.” That company then merged with what became PayPal, and Musk moved on. He spent the next decade-plus building rockets and launching SpaceX.
To one crypto theorist, that sequence reads as deliberate distance-building. The theory holds that Musk was never truly disconnected. He eventually bought back the X.com domain and acquired Twitter.
Satellites, Nodes, and Financial Infrastructure
The satellite dimension is where the theory turns technical. Digital Asset Investor connects SpaceX’s Starlink program directly to XRP’s potential infrastructure role. The suggestion is that Musk’s rockets deploy satellites carrying cryptocurrency nodes, enabling financial access in areas with no traditional banking.
The XRP node angle goes further still. Digital Asset Investor references a previous story he covered about an XRP node running inside an underground bunker left over from the Cold War. The idea is that a sufficiently distributed node network, whether in orbit, underground, or under the ocean, becomes almost impossible to disable.
Why Musk Never Mentions XRP
One clip included in the video reinforces a point that XRP holders have noted for years.
Musk speaks freely about Bitcoin and Dogecoin but consistently sidesteps XRP. To the theory’s supporters, that is not a coincidence.
Progress on the XRP Ledger
Separate from the Musk theory, the video points to a concrete data point. 2 million agentic transactions have now settled on the XRP ledger. AI agents are paying each other directly on-chain using XRP and RLUSD as the settlement layer.
Ripple President Monica Long echoed that positioning, describing Ripple as “the only game in town” for end-to-end digital asset lifecycle management from a compliant, licensed provider operating across multiple jurisdictions.
