Top Investor Says 99.9% of XRP Holders Won’t Make It to $50. The Reason Is Brutal

A decade of holding XRP without seeing the asset reach $4 has given Ripple Bull Winkle a different perspective on what it could take for investors to remain invested during a major price increase. The crypto researcher warned that most XRP holders may not remain invested long enough to see the cryptocurrency reach $50 or even $100.

His central point focuses on patience. According to Ripple Bull Winkle’s tweet, many investors believe they can hold XRP through any future price increases, but their decisions could change once their holdings begin producing substantial gains.

In the video attached to the post, he said he has held XRP for 10 years and has yet to see it reach $4. He then suggested that 99.9% of current holders would have already sold if they had experienced the prolonged waiting period he has endured.

Rising Profits Could Change Investor Decisions

Ripple Bull Winkle explained that holding an asset while its price remains relatively stagnant can feel easier than holding after the value begins increasing rapidly.

He described a scenario in which an investor’s $10,000 XRP position grows to $50,000, then $100,000 and eventually $300,000. At those levels, he believes many investors would begin considering what they could purchase with their gains rather than continuing to hold.

The researcher also pointed out that investors could achieve significant financial improvements without XRP reaching the extremely high prices often discussed within the crypto community. He suggested that some holders would sell once their gains became large enough to pay off a house or condominium.

That decision, in his view, could still represent a major financial success even if the investor never sees XRP reach $50 or $100.

Long-Term Investing Requires a Different Mindset

Ripple Bull Winkle also connected his comments to long-term investing outside cryptocurrency. He referenced the cost of an average U.S. mortgage, which he estimated at roughly $3,000 to $5,000 per month depending on location.

He suggested that someone who eliminates a major monthly expense could redirect that money toward investments. Using $2,200 per month as an example, he said consistent investing over 15 to 20 years could potentially lead to millionaire status.

His message therefore goes beyond a specific XRP price target. He emphasized that XRP investors may face their greatest psychological challenge when their holdings become valuable enough to change their financial circumstances.

The researcher ultimately suggested that reaching $50 or $100 could require more than simply owning XRP. Investors would also need to resist the temptation to sell when substantial profits become available. For XRP holders focused on long-term gains, he presented patience as one of the hardest parts of the investment journey.
