BlockDAG Presale Hits $2M in 24 Hours, While Aptos Crypto & Zcash ZEC Price Stall
Aptos Crypto Faces Persistent Technical Rejections
In contrast to early-stage market momentum, Aptos crypto continues to struggle against established chart boundaries. A recent attempt to break out of its long-standing descending channel failed rapidly, with seller volume forcing the asset back into its downward trajectory within hours of testing resistance. Consequently, APT trades near $0.57, recording a 1.7% to 2% decline over the last 24 hours alongside falling volume, leaving its market capitalization around $487 million.
This price action leaves the token approximately 97% below its historical peak of $19.92. Significantly, this weakness persists despite strong fundamental developments across the ecosystem. Anchorage recently introduced institutional staking support for APT, while Tether committed $7 million to Pact Labs to expand Aptos-based stablecoin integration across US payroll channels. Despite these concrete institutional backing efforts, the market has yet to translate structural partnerships into sustained upward price action for the asset.
Zcash ZEC Price Holds Firm Near Crucial Psychological Level
Conversely, Zcash zec price demonstrates robust baseline strength, currently consolidating in the $496 to $506 range as it tests resistance at the critical $500 psychological boundary. This consolidation follows an exceptional trajectory, with ZEC surging over 1,282% this year and significantly outperforming the broader Layer 1 asset category average.
Crucial fundamental and institutional catalysts continue to support this price level. The launch of Zcash Labs as an independent entity on August 12 establishes dedicated funding for future integrations and retroactive developer grants going forward. Furthermore, major treasury holder Cypherpunk Technologies revealed a $46 million unrealized gain on its balance sheet, confirming heavy institutional commitment.
The deployment of the Ironwood upgrade has also successfully enhanced network safeguards, while an upcoming governance vote on August 25 stands to define near-term price direction. While these developments solidify its footprint, clearing major psychological barriers remains an ongoing challenge.
