Major Update for XRP Army: CLARITY Act Will Pass Soon. Here’s What Jim Cramer Says
Jim Cramer may have just given the XRP community the surest sign that the CLARITY Act will pass. Crypto Rover shared a screenshot of a post from Cramer in which he stated, “I’m sure that the Clarity Act will never pass!” Crypto Rover flipped the narrative entirely. The crypto community largely agreed with Rover’s take.
Cramer’s Track Record
Cramer has built a reputation over the years for getting major market calls wrong. His track record is well-documented enough that his predictions have become a contrarian signal for many investors. When Cramer expresses certainty about an outcome, a significant portion of the financial and crypto community expects the opposite.
Crypto Rover leaned into that reputation. The post drew widespread agreement from community members who saw Cramer’s certainty as a bullish signal for the bill’s passage. The reaction was fast and largely one-sided.
Current Status of the CLARITY Act
The CLARITY Act is close to a vote in the Senate. Senate Majority Leader John Thune filed cloture before lawmakers left for the August recess. That filing secures the bill floor time when the Senate returns. The cloture vote is scheduled for September 15, 2026, at 2:15 PM.
Senator Bernie Moreno has stated that negotiations are finished. “There is absolutely nothing to ‘iron out,’” he said. He confirmed that all 53 Senate Republicans are expected to vote in favor of cloture. The bill needs 60 votes to advance past the cloture threshold, meaning at least 7 Democrats must cross over.
The main organized opposition has come from the banking lobby, but Senator Cynthia Lummis has pushed back hard. Former House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry addressed the banking lobby’s push. He told Bloomberg the effort is “falling on deaf ears.” McHenry predicted the bill will pass before the end of 2026.
September 15 Is the Key Date
All attention now turns to September 15. Republicans have the votes to move forward. The question is whether enough Democrats join them to clear the 60-vote threshold. The early indicators are favorable, as reports indicate between 7 and 10 Democrats are prepared to support the legislation.
Cramer’s post gave the crypto community a moment of confidence. Whether or not his track record proves reliable again, the legislative picture heading into September supports an optimistic outlook for the CLARITY Act.
