  • Litecoin: Established payment network offering fast transactions, low fees, and broad market accessibility.
  • Sui Network: High-speed Layer-1 blockchain gaining attention through growing adoption and institutional investment products.
  • Polygon: Ethereum scaling platform offering infrastructure exposure through Layer-2 networks and interoperability solutions.

The crypto market can shift quickly when confidence returns. Investors often look for altcoins with strong networks and clear use cases. Litecoin, Sui, and Polygon offer three different paths for potential growth. Each project serves a distinct role within the broader digital asset market. Litecoin focuses on payments and reliability. Sui targets fast consumer applications and decentralized finance. Polygon supports Ethereum scaling and broader blockchain adoption. Together, these projects offer investors exposure to established infrastructure, newer technology, and Ethereum-linked growth.

Litecoin (LTC)

Litecoin remains one of crypto’s longest-running networks. The project focuses on practical payments, fast confirmations, and affordable transactions. That simple approach has helped Litecoin remain relevant through several market cycles. The network also benefits from broad exchange support and deep market liquidity. Payment companies and crypto infrastructure providers continue to support LTC. Litecoin uses proof-of-work, giving the network a familiar mining-based security model. Investors who value established networks may find that foundation attractive. LTC may also benefit when market activity increases and payment use expands.

Sui Network (SUI)

Sui offers a different growth story because the network targets speed and consumer applications. The Layer-1 blockchain aims to process transactions with low latency and predictable costs. Such features can support gaming, social platforms, decentralized finance, and on-chain trading. Sui needs continued developer growth and user activity to strengthen long-term demand. Liquidity also remains important because active DeFi markets can increase network utility. Institutional interest provides another reason to watch SUI closely. Grayscale launched the Sui Trust, while Bitwise plans SUI exposure through a crypto index ETF. 21Shares and VanEck also offer SUI-related investment products. These developments could improve access for investors seeking regulated crypto exposure.

Polygon (POL)

Polygon offers exposure to the growing demand for Ethereum scaling. The network seeks to expand Ethereum’s capacity through faster and cheaper execution environments. Polygon also maintains close ties with Ethereum’s developer and security ecosystem. The Chain Development Kit gives developers and businesses tools for launching customized Layer-2 networks. These networks can support specific applications while retaining Ethereum-based security. That approach gives POL a clear infrastructure-focused investment case. Stronger adoption across Layer-2 networks could increase demand for Polygon’s broader ecosystem. Investors who expect Ethereum to remain central may view POL as a long-term scaling play.

LTC, SUI, and POL each offer a different reason for investor attention. Litecoin brings longevity and payment utility to the group. Sui provides exposure to high-speed applications and growing institutional interest. Polygon offers a direct connection to Ethereum’s scaling infrastructure. Investors should still assess market conditions, risk, and personal financial goals before buying. Strengths may matter when sentiment shifts. These three altcoins provide exposure to different parts of crypto infrastructure.

After Toshiba reported news of HDD production expansion, Morgan Stanley turned more bullish rather than bearish.

Morgan Stanley’s research indicates that the market has seriously overestimated Toshiba’s expansion scale — the doubling of capacity at its Philippines plant over two years translates to an annualized growth rate of about 30%, which is similar to the overall industry supply growth rate and far lower than demand growth. More importantly, channel checks show that Seagate and Western Digital have no intention of following suit with capacity expansion, and there are no signs of loosening in industry pricing.

Energy & Utilities Roundup: Market Talk

The latest Market Talks covering Energy and Utilities. Published exclusively on Dow Jones Newswires at 4:20 ET, 12:20 ET and 16:50 ET. 0637 GMT - SK Innovation is likely to benefit from higher lubricant base oil prices, LS Securities analyst K.H. Chung says. The South Korean refiner is a global leader in premium lubricant base oils, producing about 80,000 barrels of Group III base oils a day, Chung writes in a note. She expects the supply shortage of lubricant base oils to persist for more than a year. Tight supply of kerosene and diesel and wider refining margins could also continue to boost the company's earnings, she adds. LS Securities upgrades the stock to buy from hold and raises its target price to 187,000 won from 126,000 won. Shares end 2.6% higher at 158,000 won. (kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com) 0113 GMT - YTL Power International could see upside from its expanding data-center and AI infrastructure, as well as renewed power-generation opportunities, says Hong Leong IB analyst Daniel Wong in a note. Its Kulai and Sedenak West hubs offer 2.4GW of potential data-center capacity, while its AI-GPU capacity could scale to 100MW or more and support a new services business. The procurement of seven gas turbines totaling 5.25GW also positions YTL for power-generation growth and supports its expanding data-center pipeline, he reckons. Higher water tariffs and planned treatment plants at its unit Ranhill Utilities should support earnings as Johor's water demand rises, he adds. Hong Leong raises its target price to 8.08 ringgit from 7.58 ringgit and keeps a buy rating. Shares are 1.4% higher at 5.62 ringgit. (yingxian.wong@wsj.com) The price fetched by Amplitude Energy for its natural gas in 1Q should improve on the prior three months, supporting growth in revenue. That's the view of Bell Potter analyst Stuart Howe, who points to higher gas volumes in the quarter. Also, spot natural gas prices recovered to a quarterly average of A$9.77 per gigajoule, from A$8.42 per gigajoule in 4Q of FY26. Amplitude is due to report its 1Q p
