Meta Stock Slides After Light-on-Details Update on AI Spend -- WSJ

Meta Platforms shares are tumbling after earnings, putting the stock on course for its biggest drop since October 2025...when it fell on the back of another unsettling earnings update.
That's as investors question the Facebook parent's AI spending strategy and how the company plans to generate returns from it. Alas, they didn't get the answers they hoped for last night:
"We were sorta hoping we'd get something on reselling their excess compute capacity but they didn't have anything new there," said Mark Mahaney, managing director at Evercore ISI.
