Aston Martin Reports Better Cash Flow, But Turnaround Not Complete Yet -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/07/30 10:021002 GMT - Aston Martin reported a mixed set of results, as revenue and free cash flow beat expectations amid higher volumes, while earnings missed forecasts due to increased financial support to dealers, Deutsche Bank analyst Nicolai Kempf writes. "We are encouraged by the improvement in cash generation, management's comments on a stronger core portfolio in H2, and solid option uptake for the Valhalla." While the newly secured financing provides near-term support, the company must return to positive earnings and sustainable cash generation to credibly reduce net debt over the medium term, Kempf adds. Until then, the bank remains on the sidelines, retains its hold rating and lowers its stock target price to 40 pence from 45 pence, reflecting higher cash-interest costs. Shares rise 2.5% to 36.70 pence. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
