- The ECB authorized buybacks and cancellations up to EUR 2 billion through July 16, 2027; the full amount was deducted from CET1.
- A first tranche of up to EUR 1 billion starts Aug. 5, 2026, capped at 483,221,729 shares.
- Execution is scheduled to end no earlier than Sept. 14, 2026, no later than Oct. 9, 2026, subject to early suspension.
- HSBC Continental Europe will run the tranche independently; purchases will be made on Spanish and selected European trading venues.
