BlockBeats news, on July 29, Paul Christopher, head of Global Investment Strategy at Wells Fargo Investment Institute, stated that the Federal Reserve's interest rates are expected to remain unchanged. The easing of inflation in June gave policymakers an opportunity to extend the pause in rate hikes and wait for more data.

Louis Alvarado, co-head of Global Fixed Income Strategy at the Institute, pointed out that Waller has made it clear that “bringing inflation back down to 2% remains the Federal Reserve’s top priority, and policymakers have virtually zero tolerance for a resurgence in price pressures. We believe he truly trusts that the Fed can accomplish this goal.”

Alvarado stated that the biggest change Waller might bring lies in communication, especially forward guidance. Investors should expect greater policy flexibility and possibly increased market volatility between meetings. For Waller, the ability to act and respond flexibly as circumstances change will remain crucial. (Golden Ten Data)
