US Stocks Move: Unilever surges over 7% pre-market as Q2 underlying sales accelerate and full-year outlook is raised

Glonghui, July 28 — Unilever (UL.US) rose over 7% pre-market, trading at $65.69. According to reports, Unilever's underlying sales growth accelerated to 5.8% in the second quarter, mainly driven by a 5.5% increase in sales volume and a 0.2% rise in pricing. The growth in underlying sales volume marked the highest level since the first quarter of 2010, when sales volume grew by 7.6%. During the period, revenue reached 13.05 billion euros, surpassing market expectations of 12.87 billion euros. Looking ahead to the full year, Unilever expects underlying sales volume to grow by around 3%, higher than the previously expected growth of at least 2%. (Glonghui)
