Velocity: Private test version is running continuously, with auditing and risk reinforcement in progress
Foresight News reports that the decentralized perpetual contract trading platform Velocity (formerly Drift Protocol) announced via social media that its private test version is currently running continuously, while audits and risk strengthening are underway. Meanwhile, the team is collaborating with market makers, professional trading firms, and retail traders to test the product, optimize the trading experience, and prepare liquidity for launch. The public launch and DFX claiming will take place once security and risk work are completed.
Foresight News notes that after a large-scale hacker attack on Drift Protocol on April 1, the team devised a compensation mechanism for affected users. DFX is a recovery token issued specifically to the affected wallets, with 1 DFX representing 1 USD in verified losses.
