According to Odaily, the Bitcoin BIP-110 mandatory signaling window will open at block 961632, estimated to occur around August 9, 2026. As of July 27 at 8:40 (EDT), the on-chain height is 959842, with approximately 1,790 blocks remaining until that block. The BIP-110 signaling support rate is about 2.64%.
BIP-110, officially named Reduced Data Temporary Softfork, proposes to limit the size of certain data fields in Bitcoin transactions, mainly targeting Ordinals inscriptions, large OP_RETURN payloads, and other high-data-volume uses. If activated, the restriction will take effect at block 965664 and will automatically expire after 52,416 blocks, approximately one year.
Current signaling support primarily comes from Ocean, independent miners, and small operators, while major mining pools such as Foundry, Antpool, ViaBTC, and F2pool have not yet switched to supporting it. Foundry has requested customers to vote according to average hash rate; only if 'support' votes exceed 51% of the participating weighted hash rate will the pool switch all blocks to signaling support.
If the current signaling level continues until block 961632, nodes enforcing BIP-110 will reject blocks that do not signal version bit 4 and will follow the minority signaling blocks. Nodes that have not upgraded will continue to accept both signaling and non-signaling blocks and will follow the chain with the highest cumulative proof of work.
