Cadiz's top finance executive, Stanley Speer, is retiring from the land and water resource development company later this year.
Cadiz on Monday said Jacinto Hernandez will join the Los Angeles company to succeed Speer as chief financial officer, effective Sept. 1,
Hernandez, 47 years old, is the founder and principal of Cummings Consulting & Management, where he advises corporations and boards on capital allocation, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets strategy, Cadiz said.
Hernandez will receive an annual base salary of $400,000 and an annual cash bonus with a target of 100% of his base pay, the company said.
Cadiz said Speer, who has been finance chief since May 2020, will remain in an advisory role through the end of the year to assist with the transition.
