Swiss digital asset bank AMINA partners with Cantor to explore listing options
Foresight News reports, according to CoinDesk, that Swiss digital asset bank AMINA is collaborating with Wall Street institution Cantor to explore potential listing paths. According to two sources familiar with the matter, the bank has previously examined a range of approaches, including a SPAC merger, but now leans toward going public through a reverse takeover of a digital asset treasury company. However, discussions are ongoing and no final decision has been made. A spokesperson for AMINA stated that the company is currently more focused on raising strategic growth capital. While an IPO could be a reasonable next step in the future, the company is not currently in negotiations with any SPAC or digital asset treasury company, but is engaging with potential investors.
Formerly known as SEBA Bank, AMINA was founded in 2018 and rebranded in 2023. It is regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and is one of the few licensed banks focused on digital assets. Its business has expanded to Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and India. By the end of 2025, AMINA's Tier 1 capital is expected to reach approximately 74.6 million Swiss francs (91 million USD) and it has raised about 245 million USD from investors including Julius Baer, DeFi Technologies, and BlackRiver Asset Management.
