EPIK creator responds to controversy: Over 50% of tokens repurchased in three years, plans to airdrop to long-term supporters

Odaily reported that in response to community doubts about the “holding 50% of tokens is meaningless” view, EPIK creator Mando said he spent three years supporting the project and used his personal funds to buy back more than 50% of the tokens, instead of acquiring a large amount through airdrops.

Mando stated that he initially joked about creating EPIK during a livestream, then invested a seven-figure sum to support the token over the long term. He emphasized that this approach is entirely different from how some KOLs, creators, and celebrities have received tokens and then sold them in the past three years.

He revealed that he did not conduct any buybacks on that day, but has accumulated over 50% of the tokens through buybacks over the past three years. He is currently considering gradually airdropping part of the tokens to community members and users who have supported him long-term.
