South Korea's National Pension Fund has shifted to a net buying position on the KOSPI for the first time this year, with a significant investment in SK Hynix.

BlockBeats News, July 26th. According to data from a South Korean exchange, including the National Pension Service (NPS), one of the largest institutional investors in the South Korean stock market, pension funds have turned net buyers in the South Korean stock market for the first time this month. Data from the South Korean exchange shows that as of July 24th, the NPS and other pension funds have cumulatively net bought 68.4 billion Korean won (approximately $46.8 million) worth of shares in the KOSPI index constituent stocks in July.


This is the first time this year that pension funds have achieved a net buy in a single month after six consecutive months of net selling. Looking at specific stocks, SK Hynix has been the most bought stock by pension funds in July, with a net purchase amount of 425.8 billion Korean won. (Jinse)
