This Signal Has Now Flashed Only 4 Times In XRP’s Entire History of Data
A recurring XRP chart pattern has returned, according to crypto analyst ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA), who believes the latest signal deserves close attention. His latest post focused on a setup that has appeared only a handful of times in XRP’s trading history.
ChartNerd wrote, “This signal has now flashed only 4 times in $XRP’s entire history of data.” He added that these are “not the kind of signs to be ignoring,” before comparing the latest setup with earlier cycles that preceded major market moves.
Just to be clear, this signal has now flashed only 4 times in $XRP's entire history of data.
These are not the kind of signs to be ignoring; 2017 was trigger. 2020 was a trigger. 2022 was a trigger. 2026 will likely be a trigger.

Four Bull Switch Signals
The chart centers on an indicator that alternates between green and red trend zones. He referenced a previous analysis where each highlighted “Bull Switch” appears when price pulls back into the lower area of a green band before continuing higher. Black boxes mark those locations, while arrows identify each signal.
The current chart offers a close look at the latest setup. XRP has declined from its all-time high of $3.65, recorded in July 2025. It is now close to the lower boundary of the green band, and has consolidated here for some time. That area matches the position of the earlier Bull Switch examples shown in the second chart.
The Repeating Pattern
The longer-term chart tracks XRP from 2014 through 2026. It highlights four Bull Switch signals across the asset’s history. According to ChartNerd, the first three aligned with 2017, 2020, and 2022. His post labels each as a trigger before identifying the current setup as the fourth occurrence. ChartNerd wrote, “2026 will likely be a trigger.”
ChartNerd did not provide a specific price target or timeline beyond identifying the recurring structure. However, he has previously suggested that XRP could go as high as $27.
Attention Turns to XRP’s Next Move
The analyst’s chart suggests the current Bull Switch matches a pattern that has appeared only four times in XRP’s available price history. His view rests on the repeated structure rather than a single price level or short-term catalyst.
If the historical sequence continues to develop similarly, traders who follow this indicator will likely watch whether XRP holds within the highlighted support area before attempting another move higher. For now, the latest Bull Switch remains the central feature of ChartNerd’s analysis as market participants monitor whether the fourth signal follows the path of the previous three.
