According to Onchain Lens data, in the first half of 2026, there were 224 hacking incidents in the crypto sector, resulting in $1.32 billion in losses. Access control failures led to losses of $292 million for Kelp DAO, $280 million for Drift Protocol, $31 million for Humanity Protocol, $30 million for Step Finance, $26.5 million for Truebit, $25 million for Resolv Labs, $24.15 million for AFX, and $21 million for BonkDAO. Social engineering attacks caused $282 million in losses. Oracle issues led to losses of $24 million for Ostium, $10.86 million for Blend Protocol, and $9 million for Bonzo.
