RingCentral Shares Rise on Higher Outlook and Div Boost, 2Q Earnings Beat

Shares of RingCentral rose after the company raised its full-year outlook and quarterly dividend, and reported higher second-quarter earnings.

Shares were recently up 23% at $47.56 in Friday afternoon trading. The stock is up about 15% over the past three months.

The AI-powered customer engagement company raised its full-year outlook for total revenue to $2.64 billion to $2.65 billion, and subscriptions revenue to $2.55 billion to $2.56 billion. The company also raised its adjusted earnings per share to $4.96 to $5.10.

For the third quarter, the company expects total revenue of $664 million to $670 million and subscriptions revenue of $643 million to $649 million.

The company also raised its quarterly dividend to 12.5 cents a share from 7.5 cents, payable Aug. 20 to shareholders of record on Aug. 6.

RingCentral reported second-quarter net income of $39.1 million, or 45 cents a share, up from $13.2 million, or 14 cents a share, in the prior-year quarter.

Adjusted earnings were $1.22 a share, compared with analysts' expectations of $1.16 a share, according to FactSet.

Revenue was $657 million, compared with $620.4 million a year earlier, and above FactSet's estimate of $650.5 million.
