Boeing secures 173 orders at Farnborough Airshow, surpassing Airbus’s 154 orders

Glonghui, July 23 — At the Farnborough Airshow this week, Boeing secured 173 orders, surpassing Airbus’ 154 orders. The two major aircraft manufacturers received a combined total of 327 orders, slightly exceeding the industry’s general expectations of over 300. SMBC Aviation Capital, the world’s second-largest aircraft leasing company, placed the week’s biggest commercial order by ordering 100 single-aisle passenger aircraft from each manufacturer, including 100 Boeing 737 MAX and 100 Airbus A320neo series aircraft.
