Canada May retail sales grow 1.0%; seen up 0.4% in June

July 23 (Reuters) - Canadian retail sales grew by 1.0% in May from April at C$73.71 billion ($52.32 billion), on higher sales at gasoline stations and fuel vendors, Statistics Canada said on Friday. Sales likely increased 0.4% in June, the agency said in a flash estimate. In May, sales were up in all nine subsectors. In volume terms, retail sales rose 0.3%.
