Uniswap launches DualPool Hook, allowing market makers' idle liquidity assets to generate lending income
ChainCatcher reports that Uniswap has officially launched the DualPool Hook. DualPool is an open-source Uniswap v4 Hook jointly designed and developed by Spark and Uniswap Labs. It allows market makers to deposit idle assets into lending protocols to earn yields while liquidity funds are waiting for transactions, and reallocates funds to the liquidity pool when trades occur.
From an external perspective, DualPool is indistinguishable from a regular Uniswap v4 liquidity pool; traders, aggregators, and solvers still execute trades via the Pool Manager. Internally, liquidity funds are stored in an ERC-4626 yield vault and are automatically withdrawn when a transaction needs to be executed, then deployed to concentrated liquidity positions. This mechanism ensures continued lending yields from idle funds while guaranteeing trade execution.
